How to be a net detective
I should have titled this blog “how to be a net detective for dummies”!!! Because way too many people have no clue that they can legally conduct their own investigations without without hiring an attorney or private investigator.
And if you are a creditor and are attempting to collect a debt, the law states that you have the right to track down that person, watch them, check their credit report, speak to their friends and relatives. The same goes for if you are preparing for a court case. Let’s say that you are being sued by some total asshole who has dumped this lawsuit on you as some sort of payback. Well, you have the same right to investigate them, that they have to investigate you!
My ex-husband had his skanky girlfriend file a completely fabricated small-claims suit against me when we seperated. Fortunately for me, I ran into a old classmate of mine who was now a private investigator. He helped open me eyes to what the law allows with regard to private citizens conducting their own investigations. There is absolutely nothing illegal or immoral about investigating someone you have doubts about. For the most part, it is simply very good business to check people out before they have an opportunity to screw you over!
The internet is an absolute gold mine of information and tips on private investigators tools and techniques. I am well on my way to becoming quite a net detective myself, you should too!!
